It’s Wedding Week!!!
Am I obnoxious enough for you?
Including today, we have five more “good nights” until I wake up on THE day. All of the big tasks are complete. All of the big purchases have been made. All of the big questions have been answered.
Now we’re getting down to the nitty-gritty.
As my mother says, it’s ‘crunch time.’
Our last hoorah before our wedding week officially began was to celebrate the marriage of two very close friends of ours, Stephanie and Stephen. Stephanie and I are sorority sisters and Cory and Stephen are fraternity brothers, which equaled a lot of time spent together in college 
The wedding took place at a gorgeous venue in Fredericksburg, VA. Stephanie made for a breathtaking bride and I am so mad at myself for not getting a picture of her! I was too busy gawking at her, I guess.
After the ceremony, we mingled during the cocktail hour with our friends. I was torn between bee-lining it for the bar and the food – but my thirst outweighed my hunger (if you can imagine that.) Thankfully, both basic needs were met within minutes of each other 
Please trust me when I tell you that my plate was filled with bread and cheese cubes before I said “Oooh, Cory, take a picture for the blog!”
Up next? More food! Dinner was phenomenal. We started with a scrumptious salad followed by a surf ‘n turf plate for the entrée. The crab cake, mashed potatoes and veggies were to die foorrr.
It should be no surprise to you that my favorite, most anticipated, part of the meal was the dessert. I had a slice of cake and a cupcake. Judge me. I dare you.
‘Ooh, Cory, take a picture for the blog!’ Part Two
I love weddings because they are pure celebration of love, but I also love weddings because they’re a good reason to throw big parties. Now that we don’t live on campus anymore, I love any chance that I get to spend with my beautiful friends
It was a fun, exciting evening and I’m so happy that Cory and I got to be apart of it. Cory and I both wish Stephen and Stephanie a lifetime full of love and laughter!
Let’s chat – Cakes and cupcakes: Yay or nay? I had more than one person this weekend tell me “I don’t like cake.” Whaaat?! In my world, that’s like saying “I don’t like to breathe much.”
I like cake but I think the problem is there are a lot of bad cakes out there! I can’t believe your wedding is so soon! Now THOSE are some photos I can’t wait to see!

i’m actually not a HUGE fan of cake but obviously we’ll be needing one for our big day. I’ve also been hearing people say they don’t like it that much either (hmph) whats a girl to do?! xo

To answer your cake question: I LOVE cake but not so much icing…judge if you want…but a cake (or cupcake) with just a small amount of icing is ok in my book.Loaded up with all that sugary goo, no thank you!

So excited for you and the wedding! Um…yeah, so confession: I hate cake. My boyfriend doesn’t like cake. We’ve already agreed if this lasts the long haul….no cake. Make your own sundae bar with a bijillion chocolate candy toppings is in my wedding future

AHHH. I love your dress. I used to make my boyfriend take pictures for the blog too. I think he secretly loved it.

That dress is awesome, you look so pretty! I actually don’t care that much for cake.. ah! I just like the icing! At weddings I usually eat the icing only and try to feed the cake to my boyfriend, after stealing all of HIS icing.. oops.

I can’t wait to hear about how the whole thing goes down. And I’d definitely react the same way if I heard someone say they don’t like cake. Whaaaa? I love cake, but I admit it’s usually more for the frosting than the actual cakey part 
Who doesn’t like cake?! If I had the option to chose, I would go with a cupcake over a slice of cake, but really, either is perfectly awesome!

You look gorgeous! That dress is adorable, and you work it well. As for cake, I eat it because I have a sweet tooth. However, it’s pretty much my least favorite sweet. I’d never order it for dessert myself (cupcakes too, for that matter).

I love cake, but I’m a little picky. I only really like bakery or homemade cakes. I don’t really like store-bought cake. Usually I go for a slice of cake over a cupcake because I feel like cupcakes can be akward to eat, but I’ll never turn cake down!

Girl you are too funny! I am a cupcake girl, but wedding cake is different than birthday cake, different as in usually way better. I think cupcakes have a better cake/icing ratio becasue sometimes cake has too much icing, yuck! Love your dress you look beautiful!

Sorry to say this, but I’m totally one of those people who doesn’t like cake or cupcakes. I’m an ice cream girl ALL the way. I just don’t like bread-based desserts. Or frosting. Ew, frosting. Gimme ice cream and I’m good to go!
On a more important note…how exciting about the wedding! Yay! I just got engaged last month, but we’re not planning on getting married for a couple years. I can’t wait to hear about yours! You look beautiful in those pictures!
