We Have Arrived!

Hello!! Thanks for all of your kind congratulations on beginning the processes of moving everything into our new apartment :)

Yesterday was a doosey! Thank the Lord Cory’s parents were able to drive up from Richmond to help us.

Cory’s mom also helped me with breakfast this morning. Look what she brought me all the way from Richmond!

It’s the little things that are the most thoughtful things :)

So, back to the move. We had to take everything down from Cory’s third floor apartment, drive a mile up the road, and take it all back up to a fourth floor apartment.

I have a new found respect for elevators. My legs are sooore.

After what seemed like a million trips later, we had most of our stuff piled into the den.

Isn’t it amazing that your entire life can fit into one den? Or in my case, three suit cases, three recyclable bags and two boxes.

Marriage will multiply all that, right? ;)

Speaking of marriage, I’m gettin’ hitched to the most amazing guy I’ve ever met. At 10:30 last night, he was stuck in a corner on the phone with our internet provider getting it all hooked up for this morning :)

He’s a catch :)

It’s hard for me to describe how happy I am. It’s difficult to find the words that explain the millions of excited butterflies in my stomach. This is our apartment. Our new life together. It’s wonderful!

And although it will take a few days to unpack our lives, I couldn’t be happier sitting on our floor watching a TV that we don’t yet have a stand for.

This is all apart of the journey – and I’m so glad to be on it!

Josh and I have been living together for almost 2 months and about 1 week ago we got a stand for our t.v. Before that it sat on the floor.

Yay, awesome! I am pretty sure you are going to have a LOT more stuff soon :P Last time I moved it was from the 3rd floor to the 4th floor in the same building :P I didn’t even pack my stuff in boxes, I just brought it up in plastic bins load by load. So not fun, I had to unpack as I moved though!

That is so adorable. I love how excited you are for your house. Seriously-freshman year of college I lived on the 7th floor of a high rise and the day I moved in the elevators were broken. I had to legit move in a minifridge, hugh jass tv and other big things up 7 flights of stairs. I think I stayed away from the gym for like a month after bahaha.

Colleen! I have the chills! I am sooo excited for you! I am a hopeless romantic and love hearing about this stuff! Were your families supportive of your getting married so young? Did you have a conversation while in college about getting married soon after? I’m in a similar spot and super curious!!
    I’m SO happy for you!

Jenn!! I love your enthusiasm :) We’ve been together since my freshman year of college (his junior year), so almost 5 years. During my last two years of college (his two years earning his MBA) we had several serious discussions about marriage. My parents are so supportive – even though they didn’t get married until their 30s! But he’s 25, and I’m the spring chicken at 23, but we’re both old souls haha. That’s so exciting that you’re in a similar position! I’d love to know about it! Either here or via email! :)

I loled at the picture of him. Hahaha oh lawdy, moving is a pain, but ONLY if you make it that way :) Stay optimistic with that beautiful smile plastered on your face and your fingers full of peanut butta.

    Mucho love and congrats :)

Eek, that is all so exciting and I’m so happy for you! Your boy is so sweet for hooking up the internet for you. My dad is like that to me and my mom; he’ll bend over backwards and do anything to make us happy!
