Hi there! How’s everyone’s Tuesday going so far? Tuesday has become my marathon day – I’m pretty sure I just wake up exhausted thinking about how long I have to be alert and productive. Can anyone else relate to that feeling?
Cory and I headed over to my Grandma’s yesterday afternoon because she needed help with her malfunctioning printer. My Grandma is so technologically savvy, but something was tripping her up this time. Good thing Cory was able to figure it out
Mare had a mean spread waiting for us when we got there. The house smelled terrific and I wanted to dig in immediately.
Her coconut shrimp is out of this world, and I secretly had my fingers crossed that she’d be making it for us. It was my lucky day! This was a carb-tastic meal, but when Grandma makes it, calories don’t count 😉
After I devoured what seemed like 40 coconut shrimp, I was stuffed. Like, borderline uncomfortable. But when Mare mentioned that she had key lime cake for dessert, I knew I could push through the discomfort 😉
That cake was lick-the-plate good. I saw that there was one piece left, but I was able to have some self-control 😉
Today was an arms day for me. I did each exercise twice; with dumbbells I did the first set with 15 lbs and the second set with 10 lbs.
Bicep curl into shoulder press
Lat pull down (45 lbs)
Seated row (45 lbs)
Dumbbell bench press (15 lbs both times)
Lat raises (baby 5 pounders – the gym only has 5 lbs, 10 lbs, 15 lbs etc. I miss my 7.5’s!)
I didn’t have a plan when I went to the gym this morning. Rookie mistake. We didn’t leave my Grandma’s until almost 9:00, so whipping up my morning workout was far from my mind when we got home.
But at least I got out of bed when my alarm went off. Small victories
By the way – It was just me and the sweaty shirtless Asian man again this morning. It’s getting to be a little awkward. Put on an effing shirt, Buddy.
