Thursday Randomness

1. It’s March!! Only 17 more days until the most fun holiday of the year! If you’re Irish. Or a boozehound. Either one. I’m so excited we’ll be moved in by then so Cory and I can celebrate with all of our Richmond friends. Mainly these two.

2. Tuesday was my last day at my job. I keep telling Cory I feel like a waste of space for being unemployed. He kindly reminds me that being unemployed and choosing to leave your job due to relocating for your husband’s job are two different things.

3. In attempts to not be a waste of space, I’m continuing to get up at my normal hour to work out and get other forms of work done. Namely, making three school projects my bitch. I made a smart move and got out of the house to do school work today. I was able to get so much accomplished by sitting in Panera!

4. Oh, I’ve also spent my afternoon being a packing machine.

5. Next weekend we have an event to go to for Cory’s new job. I’m excited because I got to buy a new dress. Then I remembered today that my legs resemble paste. Because I don’t do the tanning bed, I’m turning to Jergens. Has anyone used this stuff?

6. GREAT news. Justin Bieber turns 18 today. Can I officially be taken off the creeper list?

7. Even BETTER news. My brother is going to be home this weekend! This makes me a very happy girl.

This picture is the background on my mom’s phone. I look crazed and Brian looks Asian. She must be so proud.

And with that, I bid you adieu!

Let’s chat – How many siblings do you have? I love families and I think it’s so neat when someone has tons of siblings!

That Jergen’s stuff works pretty well but can smell pretty awful. Also, make sure you exfoliate your legs a lot before using it or it will come off pretty easily. I would recommend putting it on at night so only Cory has to suffer the smell with you haha

  2. Cute :) I have a little sister, but my hubby has 3 sisters :) so we are a family full of ladies!

I’ve used the jergens stuff.. its good, but it kinda makes you look orange if you use too much.. also make sure to wash your hands after you apply :)

  3. I’ve used the Jergens stuff. I like it. It can be a little awkward and time consuming though – you have to like stand around naked for 5-10 minutes to let it dry!

Today is a national holiday as far as I’m concerned: Jbieb = 18 means I am totally not a creep for lovin that little baby.

when i quit my job to move to chicago i was a nervous wreck. i thought i would never find a job ever again, but i found one fairly quick and it was much less painless than i though! good luck!

  5. I’ve used the natural glow face version and loved it! Very natural. I’m excited for you and your move!

  6. ummm HELLOOOOO, are you friends with the queen of Jergens or are you not?

    verdict: yes. use it. ;)

I am so excited for you to live in Richmond but seeing your apartment packed up makes me a tad sad. Helping you move into it was one of the best days ever…the joy and excitement were palpable.I know we will make new equally exciting memories in your next (fabulous!with an elevator!!) apartment but in the meantime, I will mourn a bit. Can you tell that change is hard for me? On another note, how about a spray tan? Never done it personally but with the exception of Ross from Friends it seems to work well on TV. : )

  8. I always find I can accomplish more when I am out of the house…otherwise I get distracted by things like: staring at the cat, wishing I could turn on the TV or snacking. Thank god for Starbucks and their free wifi!
I have one brother who is 6 years younger than me, but I love him like we are the same age:)

  9. I’m the oldest of 5. I have three sisters and one brother and they’re all crazy but so wonderful. Our house was nuts growing up and holidays are still pretty wild. I can’t imagine what they’ll be like when we all have significant others and kids…wow.

And yes, leaving your job because you’re relocating is very different than being unemployed. Just keep finding little projects to keep yourself busy and find other ways to get out of the house. Maybe lunch in DC before you go??

  10. Breakfast sounds fun despite not talking, no table and the background sound of an alarm for hours:) But, really…I’m not a morning talker either so I think we would get along great!
Score on the new FREE table.

  11. Good luck with the move!!
    I am one of 6 kids :)

  12. I’ve used that tanning lotion before, but I highly suggest trying St. Tropez tanning lotion. It doesn’t smell the next day and works overnight.

I have four siblings! Four girls and one boy!

  13. I have two amazzzzzing brothers who are the absolute best.
Also, I have used that Jergen’s lotion, it’s actually really good! Whenever I use self tanners, I’m always scared I’m going to turn orange and look like Snooki, but that stuff its very gradual and def gives you a nice glow!

  14. haha I just posted about Jergen’s lotion! I smell awful, but I look amaaaaaazing!

“If I can’t get skinny, I can get reallly tan” is the title, HA: http://thecrazyfat.blogspot.com/2012/02/if-i-cant-get-skinny-i-can-get-really.html

  15. Yay so happy your brother is going to be home! I have one brother but he lives close to me so we see each other frequently. Glad to be back reading your blog!! :D

  16. Only child and self-proclaimed spoiled brat. Luckily I’m not one of those ones people can pick out of a crowd (“she must be an only child…”)…at least I don’t think ?

Also, I used the Jergen’s glow and it works well. People really started to notice BUT I think I went to far and started to get orange after TOO MANY uses. So once people say “whoa your legs look tan!” don’t take that as “OMG THIS SHIT IS WORKING I MUST GO HOME AND BATH IN IT AND/OR DRINK IT STRAIGHT FROM THE BOTTLE!”…take it more as “okay, now I can chillax for a bit….”

    GOOD LUCK :)

I’m the middle of three girls! I love my sisters (most of the time). Sometimes I wish I had a brother, just to see what a male version of me would look like! Haha. AND twins I also have a secret love for J. Biebs. He’s a cutie! Have a great weekend :)

  18. GOOD LUCK with the move!!!! :)

I have one brother. He’s two years younger! We fought A LOT when we were in highschool, but it’s gotten better since we don’t live under the same roof anymore! haha I miss the little booger!

  19. Panera is the best hang out. Those damn cinnamon crunch bagels with hazelnut cream cheese are always calling my name though! lol. I have two brothers and two sisters. They are all step or half but that gets confusing so I just called them brothers and sisters! :)

  20. I’m an only child and, honestly, I LOVE it. But my best friend Amandarose growing up had EIGHT brothers and sisters. I loved going over to her house to get my “sibling fix” and then being able to go back to being an only child at my house. Her family is awesome, though. I don’t know how her parents did it, but all the kids are super nice and really great – I would never be able to have that many kids!

  21. I’m the oldest, and I have two sisters! My dad is very outnumbered in our family :) .

  22. Kelsey says:

I love that Jergen’s stuff– it smells really good and works!

I have one brother, whom is 6 years younger than me and I love dearly. We have always been close and never fight– pretty weird, huh? :)

  23. I use that Jergens and love it!
I have 2 older sisters (10 and 16 years older than me!). My family is italian though so I have 25 cousins!

  24. Elisabeth @ CHAARG says:

I’ve used Jergens! But it was when I was a freshman in high school and i deff DID NOT realize that you had to actually make sure everything was smooth and even. yeah my ankles and toes were completely splotchy and gross….hence I never did it again ahha. BUT Emily and I just got a spray tan (we don’t know tanning beds either) and it doesn’t look orange! You should try it if you are looking for color for a few weeks, I’d recommend it!

  25. I can’t wait to celebrate my first St. Patty’s day in Boston! I heard it’s completely insane (and completely awesome). I’m so excited! :)

  26. Kayla says:

I have one biological sister but also two stepbrothers from my mom’s remarriage and a stepsister and stepbrother from my dad’s remarriage. and somehow after all that i remain the eldest child! lol
