Hello and happy Monday, my friends! I figure that Monday is going to keep coming around whether I want it to or not, so I might as well have a good attitude about it 😉
This weekend was a busy one for me! On Saturday Cory and I spent the day in Northern Virginia at the MDA Muscle Walk. I raised $1,270 for the cause – which isn’t too shabby for a one gal show. Am I right?!
It was a great event that hundreds of people turned out for. All of the teams were huge, but I missed the memo and signed up as a team of one. Oops? Thank God Cory and my parents came along to walk and roll.
Saturday night, my weekend dreams came true: I SAW THE HUNGER GAMES! I know tons of people have written reviews already, so I’ll spare you – but it is honestly the best book-turned-movie I’ve ever seen.
And clearly, I dressed for the event.
Thank you to my mother-in-law for the shirt!
Sunday we had big plans of hitting up Hobby Lobby and Kroger. Have you ever heard of Hobby Lobby? I’ve never been and was so looking forward to perusing the aisles of what Cory has explained to be the “love child of Michael’s and Home Goods” only to find out that they’re closed on Sundays! Damn.
The day ended with dinner at Conch Republic Rocketts with Cory’s parents. The food wasn’t bad, but it isn’t someplace I’m dying to revisit. The Raspberry Martini I got was mighty delicious, though! 😉
And now I’m sore from this morning’s Body Pump class. I’ve got to tell you, it’s gotten a thousand times more enjoyable since my first experience a few weeks ago 😉
Make today a great one, ladies and gent(s?)!
**PS: You can still vote for me and my Fitteratti nomination here!
Let’s chat – Are you an avid movie-goer? Seeing The Hunger Games was the first time I’ve been to the movie theatre in years. I’m actually not much of a movie-watcher in general, but if I’m going to watch one, it’s usually at home in my PJs without the crowds and smell of movie theatre popcorn (YUCK!)
