Has it really been four days since Christmas?!
Between ugly sweaters, tons of desserts and a total of 16 hours in a car – the past few days have flown by!
(And when I say tons of desserts – I mean tons of desserts.)
Cory and I had a wonderful trip to visit his grandparents in North Carolina. They live on the top of a mountain in a beautiful home, and the visit is one that we always enjoy. Call us strange, but we enjoy spending time with our grandparents. It gives us a chance to slow down and enjoy the present.
And remember how I was worried about Campbell and the 6.5 car ride there and the 9 hour car ride home?
Yeah – about that 😉
Now it’s time to go back to work, toss out the Christmas tree, take down our Martha-esque decorations and unpack.
Okay, I’ll be honest – we’re tossing the tree over our balcony and unpacking will consist of me removing any shoes from the suitcase and dumping the rest of the contents in the laundry basket.
I’m making shortcuts so I can immerse myself into Mockingjay – the third and FINAL book of The Hunger Games. I read the first two books in four days. I’ve become far too attached to the characters. I have dreams about being the Games. I’m concerned for my emotional wellbeing now that it’s all coming to an end.
Am I the only one who dives head first into books?
