Let me tell you a little story.
Two fine couples met in the 1982 and just hit it off. If two married couples were ever made for each other, it was my parents and Mike & Char.
Mike and Char and my parents were both blessed with two amazing, beautiful, talented, witty children; and as luck would have it – we all came around the same time
Although Brian and I grew up in Virginia and Whitney and Lindsay grew up in Florida, the distance never affected our friendship.
These are the people with whom I’ve grown up and shared all of life’s most important lessons.
I’ve learned to respect my elders.
I’ve learned that fashion trends come and go – but friendship can last a lifetime.
I’ve learned that as a teenager, you are never ever as cool as you think you are.
I’ve learned that, although loud and obnoxious, belly laughs are the best kind.
I’ve learned that it’s important to keep friends who will always have your back.
Most importantly, I’ve learned that “family” does not always mean the same DNA runs through your veins.
