This is a phrase that I’ve heard come out of Cory’s or mine own mouth several times since The Move.
It’s not ideal that there are still boxes everywhere (a whopping seven days later).
It’s not ideal that we have yet to purchase a bedroom set.
It’s not ideal that the furniture we have purchased has not yet been delivered.
- Hence it is not ideal that we ate our first home-cooked meal on an upside box.
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t even know what ideal means! Do I think it would have been better to eat at a real table, rather than an upturned box? Maybe. Maybe not.
I may have trashed the kitchen and used every available pot and spoon to make this simple dish, and I may have served it on a box and ate it with a spoon because our forks weren’t unpacked yet – but hey – it’s funny!
As cliche as it sounds, we’re making memories – and I like who I’m making them with
It’s not normal (another word of which I don’t know the definition) to get everything you want and need all at once. A house, a car, the dog and the 2.5 kids (not that I want those right now. Yikes!) What I’m saying is, in my opinion, waiting and working for these things makes them all the more sweeter, don’t you think?
