I’ve been old since the day I was born. Did you know, that when I “graduated” from preschool, the teachers gave each student an award – like, Best Sharer, Best Colorer, Best Line Leader.
Do you know what mine was?
So it’s no surprise that I’m kind of strange in the fact that I fully embrace getting “older” each year. Why? Because I feel like the older I get, the more acceptable it is to just be myself.
Like now, at 25, it’s acceptable to go to bed early, save my money,
cross stitch, read books for fun, listen to Classic Rock, enjoy the company of adults, and be annoyed by children.
Not so acceptable to feel that way about those things when you’re 10 years old. (I wish I was kidding.)
But no matter my age, there are two things I’ll always enjoy: Spending time with my family and eating a piece of cake or two – both of which I’ll be doing this weekend at my cousin’s wedding!
We’re headed up to Pennsylvania this afternoon and I’m really looking forward to seeing my family I hope you have a great weekend, my friends!
