I have a little bit of a head cold going on and I’m being quite impatient with it. So last night in attempt to “sweat out the sickness” Cory and I decided we’d brave the cold for a short run. I was super excited that it gave me a chance to wear the ear warmers that my friend Bethany made for me.
Isn’t that cute?!
We also came home to a very energetic lab that needed to “sweat out the crazy” so we took him with us
It was a short, two mile
run jog filled with lots of “Damn it, Campbell. Are you really peeing again?” It was fun – but stopping every five seconds for the dog to pee/poop/sniff made for a not-so-strenous workout, which is exactly what I needed.
And at least our trick worked – we had one exhausted boy for the rest of the night!
Changing topics really quickly…
I just recently had someone leave me a comment telling me that I am irritating and patronizing for writing sponsored posts.
After reading her comment, I felt the need to get some things off my chest. Her comment truly bothered me and I’d feel like a fraud if I didn’t address it.
If I write a sponsored post, it’s because I genuinely like and support the product and it’s something I want to share with you. Furthermore, I do not blog to make money. If that was my prerogative, I’d be living in a van down by the river. I have a job that I get up for every morning, and that paycheck puts food on the table and clothes on my back.
And when I do get “paid” for writing something on the blog, it’s nothing that could fincially support me. Could it buy me a new pair of shoes (from the sale rack at DSW) or a manicure? Sure. A tank of gas? Possibly. My rent? Not a chance.
This is a blog that I started writing for me. Then it became a fun little community which I genuinely enjoy and appreciate. If any product review or sponsored ad has offended you, please know that that is never my intent.
Please know that it’s my first priority to write a blog that satisfies me, but coming in at a close second is you. I aim to write a blog that makes you giggle, offers some random tips, and documents my journey to live a healthy, fun, everything-in-moderation lifestyle.
And that’s that!
Let’s chat –
Bloggers: Do people give you shit for having ads on your blog or writing sponsored posts?
Readers: Does it bother you when bloggers advertise for companies they personally support?
Dog Owners: Do you run with your dog?? It was my first time running with Campbell. It was fun, but it won’t be a regular thing. He’s too spastic!
