[Enjoying] Life Lately

Man, oh, man. I’ve gotten way behind the blogging eight ball. Personally, I find that I have a hard time blogging when so many fun things are happening at once.

Don’t get me wrong – my life hasn’t been “Facebook” great; meaning, I don’t live a life full of vacations, parties, and consecutive perfect hair days, but it’s been really enjoyable lately.

With a promotion at work, the summer starting, and getting to spend lots of time with people I enjoy, I haven’t remembered to blog. I’ve forgotten lots of “important” stuff –  like, this past weekend, I didn’t check my email from Friday afternoon until Monday morning!

But, I have a few minutes to spare while my chocolate chip cookies cool and I wait for Cory to get home from work, to share a few of the enjoyable things that have been goin’ on :)

I’ve been obsessed with enjoyed dining al fresco at Cafe Caturra. Richmond friends, the shrimp tacos at Caturra are to die for! (So are the perfect portions)

I’ve been enjoying my new partnership with Simone France! Review of their travel kit is coming up soon!

I’ve been enjoying making summer-y desserts.

I’ve so been enjoying our community pool (with lots of SPF!)

I’ve been enjoying our neighbors – and the fact that there is a little someone who wants to “marry Cory.” (My heart is melting)

I finally enjoyed my first iced coffee of the season! I’m ashamed it’s taken me this long.

I’ve been enjoying our neighbor friends (again.) We recently went out to celebrate Remy’s birthday!

I’ve come to find that happiness lies in the subtleties of life, not excitement of the go-go-go. Like sipping wine on your neighbor’s deck, or taking a walk with no destination in mind, or sleeping in, or spending the afternoon at the pool.

I’m learning to slow down, and I like it.

How adorable is your little neighbor girl?! That is too precious that she wants to marry your hubby. So glad you’re enjoying life and soaking up all it has to offer.

I NEED an iced coffee today. It’s seriously what got me out of bed this morning. I like this attitude. I really agree. Little things keep me going (but I do need you to seriously kick my ass into gear for working out…please?)

I’ve been slowing down a lot lately too and it’s AMAZING! I’ve been reading, getting myself flowers and setting them up in pretty vases, cooking for my husband…I love it! Glad you’re enjoying the same!

PS–that picture of Cory and the little girl melts my heart.

Cafe Caturra is one of my favorite places to go for HH in the winter. Try the black bean and white cheddar tacos some time!
