Happy belated Easter, my friends! Whether you celebrate the day or not, I hope you had a great weekend
Mine was fantastic. It was filled with family, relaxation and a whole lotta food. It was wonderful! I think it’s perfectly acceptable to loosen the belt buckle and throw caution to the wind every now and then and just enjoy food. And that’s exactly what happened this weekend
Don’t mind me. I’m a 23-year-old who still enjoys coloring eggs…
I’m also a 23-year-old who still gets excited about an Easter basket!
So.much.candy.
Money shot.
I think the Easter Bunny reads this blog and knows that I’m learning to bake
Let me tell you something. Cory’s mom is the Hostess with the Mostest. She is the Detail Queen and I love it! I mean seriously. Look at the table settings she created.
Too cute right?
And the food was fabulous. I pulled the I’ll try a little bit of everything that’s on the table card.
Looking at this picture, I realize that this serving makes me seems quite anal. I’m swear I’m not a 5-year-old. I really don’t mind if my foods touch
I also went to town on desserts. But let me just highlight my favorite. Enter: a ball of red velvet cake that was rolled in cheesecake, that was then rolled in graham cracker crumbs, that was then dipped in white chocolate. Heaven on a stick? I think so.
I’m certain I will be dreaming of these.
Cory didn’t want to keep a lot of the candy in our Easter basket, so guess who it came home with? This girl. Who has sticky fingers around sweets. I have to take precautionary measures when left alone with bags of candy.
I measure out serving sizes and put them in separate baggies so when I do want a little treat, I can grab and go.
Otherwise I will devour an entire bag of Starburst jellybeans in one sitting. And then I’ll try to convince myself that because they’re so tiny, they can’t possibly have any substantial caloric impact…
Let’s chat – What’s your favorite Easter candy? Starburst jellybeans. Duh.

You are smart! Love the idea of putting your Easter candies in individual serving sizes. I have that same sticky fingers problem around it myself, so I will definitely be trying this. Glad you had such a great Easter weekend with family!
Oh, and my favorite Easter candy is chocolate covered marshmallows. Sooooo good!
those red velvet balls look like absolute heaven!
can you come bring me one pretty please??????
I can never restrain myself when it comes to gummies and jelly beans but i’d have to say my favorite candy is peanut butter cups!
wow girl what a great easter!! i love your ‘Money shot” of all that candy! YUM YUM! and woah that dessert (cheesecake, red velvet, white chocolate) goodness me get that recipe asap! glad you had such a great weekend bbff! xoxo
so jealous of that mini muffin pan!!
I’m a 20 year old who loves Easter eggs and baskets. I would have decorated 1000 but sadly I was traveling on that day blechh.
I need to divide my jelly beans like that. Well, what is left of them. I devoured most of them last night.
I’m 30 and still gets excited over an Easter basket. Those red velvet cake pops look so good! I wish I had one.
starburst jelly beans all the way! I had them for breakfast yesterday. Yum!
The cakeball looks amazing! And putting a serving size into baggies is such a great idea. My self control is easily compromised with mini cadburry chocolate eggs!
That serving size candy thing is genius! Way to think, girl. Also…I’m a 20 year old that participated in an Easter egg hunt! It was actually a “big kid” one with my family, but still. I think it is great we still enjoy the simple things in life
Great idea on the little serving size baggies! I have a similar issue when faced with a full bag of candy
Who doesn’t enjoy coloring Easter eggs?
Looks like you had a lovely weekend! I just ran across your blog and it’s wonderful!
Girlllll- so much awesomeness! Such a great idea to portion off the candy
You’re so cute! Have a great Monday
Love you, bbff!
I still get an Easter basket too
. My favorite candy is mini Cadbury eggs! I actually don’t like jellybeans!
I’m definetly about to go put single servings of my peanut butter m&ms’s in baggies, their so addicting!!
What a fun Easter! I didn’t decorate any eggs
Can’t wait to see what you make in those mini muffin pans! My bf bought one the other day and never used it so I stole it from him yesterday haha
Haha! I love coloring eggs too. I don’t think I’ll ever get over that!
Not only did I get an Easter basket but my parents hid it – and I’m 25!!!
Hehe, my favorite Easter candies are Whopper eggs!
Sounds like the best dessert ever!!! Perfection on a stick, yes, please
Favorite easter candy: anything and everything involving chocolate and peanut butter.
Definitely looks like a really fun Easter!! I’m thinking the Easter Bunny reads blogs as well. He sent me a bunch of Kashi stuff.
Ok I need a recipe for the red velvet cake pops! They look soooo good! I was drooling at the picture of them.
I love peeps dipped in chocolate, chocolate coverd marshmallows and reeses peanut butter eggs. There is just something about the egg shaped of the reeses that I just love. Is that weird? I dont think so? I bought some yesterday (woohoo for on sale!!) and put them in the freezer. Now I can have reeses peanut butter eggs in June. If they last that long. Which they wont. But its a nice thought I think!
Oh and I LOVE YOUR BLOG!!! :0)))
