Remember how I told you that we’re up and moving in a matter of weeks? That process involves packing up all of newly unpacked apartment, and getting rid of excess stuff we’ve accumulated during our six months of marriage.
I’m bad at getting rid of things because I think that as soon as I toss it/give it away I’ll need it 48 hours later. You know what I mean?
Well, I’ve been hoarding The Chia Company chia seeds for a while now.
The company sent me a bunch of chia and I’ve been using it every day since. In my oats. My smoothies. My muffin, cookie, and casserole recipes. Everything.
Why do I like chia so much?
It’s a SUPER super food: Chia is the richest plant based source of Omega 3, dietary fibre, protein and antioxidants. (source)
It does a body good: Chia is a great food for my diet because it helps increase my energy level, it keeps me full longer which helps me maintain a healthy weight, and keeps my heart healthy.
I’m vain: Believe it or not, because chia contains tons of Omega 6, it helps keep my skin healthy – and it also slows the process of aging. Chia is also loaded with protein, which helps keep my hair healthy!
Even though it’s super great, you can see I have a surplus on my hands. Every time Cory walks into our pantry he yells an obscenity followed by “chia!!”
Clearly he does not appreciate this super food.
