I don’t know about your day, but mine has been a productive one! This morning I made the executive decision to set my alarm with no AM workout on the schedule. Today I only worked until 11:00, so I saw no need to get up early when I knew I’d have all afternoon!
I was chatting with my friends Emily and Megan about what I should do this afternoon, and both of the lovely ladies suggested a circuit workout, and that sounded good to me! I researched lots of circuit workouts in order to come up with one that I knew I’d like.
- Squats – 35 reps, 10 pound dumbbells in each hand
- Jumping jacks – 50
- Push ups – 12
- Curtsy squats
- 1/2 mile jog – Jogging for 5 minutes at 6.0
- Lat raises – 20 reps, 5 pounds front and side lifts
- Tricep dips – 15 reps
- Squat jumps – 25 reps
- Lat pull down – 12, 40 pounds
- Back extensions – 15
- 1/2 mile jog
I did both circuits twice and it was great! And by great, I mean I was a sweaty beast.
When I got home I had a box from Swanson Health Products waiting for me! When Anthony contacted and asked if I’d be willing to review some free products, I was pretty psyched.
I bet you know what I did as soon as I got my pretty little hands on the chia seeds, cocoa powder and xanthan gum…
1 huge handful of spinach, 1/2 a banana, 2 frozen strawberries, Swanson chia seeds, Swanson cocoa powder, Swanson xanthan gum, and about 3/4 cup of milk to get things movin’
The smoothie turned out alright. I think it was the fact that I only had half of a banana at home, and I think I could have been a little more generous with the cocoa powder. The xanthan gum was so cool, though! It was first time using it and I loooveeed how thick the smoothie got.
I’m getting a little tired of the PB/banana/spinach routine, so go ahead and throw some new ideas out there for me if you don’t mind!
I just got a call from Cory and he’s coming home a little early today! So I’m off to go hang out with him Catch you all later!
